Research note / early exploration
Which ownership, shared-use and rental arrangements can support varied budgets while protecting privacy and equal amenity access?
A home. A place to belong.
Documented thinking
Different homes, the same care
Different home sizes and rental prices would make room for different budgets. Every home should offer the same baseline of privacy, thoughtful design and equal access to shared amenities. High standards need not mean luxury only.
Whole-home ownership, shared ownership and renting are all envisaged; shared-use and equity terms remain open. Guests may live among residents, with planting, orientation and visual and acoustic boundaries protecting tranquillity. No separate hotel district, enforced mixing or compulsory social life.
Owners could freely opt into a future managed hospitality and rental network while away, or keep their home private. No mandatory pooling or guaranteed rental returns. Renting offers a way to experience everyday life here before buying, without any obligation to purchase.
An equal resident voice
Accepted long-term renters and homeowners would have the same resident voting rights: one equal vote per person. Short-stay guests would not have a resident vote. Property and investment rights are separate from the community vote; eligibility and departure arrangements remain open.
The collective 60% resident / 40% token-weighted nonresident-investor balance belongs specifically to elder elections, not every decision. Resident investors vote only as residents, never twice.
